Pandemic Leadership

Keeping Canadians safe

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to bring unprecedented global disruption, and Walmart Canada associates, opticians and pharmacists are rising to the challenge. By ensuring access to essential goods and vaccines, we hold steadfast to one key priority: to keep Canadians safe.

We continued to transform our stores and operations to ensure safe access to affordable groceries and other essentials. We rapidly expanded online shopping and curbside pickup, hiring thousands of associates along the way.

Once COVID-19 vaccines became available in early 2021, Walmart Canada responded quickly to adapt our pharmacies to offer fast and convenient immunizations for our associates and communities across Canada.
